Vehicle Details

This is one our all-time favorites, a real deal numbers matching (engine and transmission) LS6 Chevelle. It was treated to a full body on restoration over the course of the past few months. There was no expense spared with only one mile on the restoration. It retains its original and very popular Black paint but it has been applied with 21st century technology producing a terrific reflective finish. The white racing stripes and were painted on and cleared over for the best look possible.

The mean LS6 454/450HP engine is in tip top shape and runs like top. The 1970 LS6 Chevelle is number one on many "Greatest Muscle Car" lists and so is the 70-71 Plymouth HEMI Cuda. We have good news for the new owner of this car: According to the numbers found in numerous car magazines from the early seventies stock LS6 Chevelles are faster than Stock HEMI Cudas.

As far as the interior is concerned the headliner was replaced, the sail panels were recovered and reinstalled, and new sun visors were installed. The carpet, floor mats and seats have all been replaced or recovered. The power steering gear box has been replaced. The Muncie four speed manual transmission was completely rebuilt and functions as new. The radiator was thoroughly cleaned and rebuilt to original specifications. With that a new clutch fan was installed as well as a new thermostat. The rear springs were replaced to reproduce the original ride of the car when it just came out of the factory.

The optional equipment order for this car included: Sport Stripes; Positraction Axle; (LS6) 450-HP Turbo-Jet 454 V8; Muncie M22 (just rebuilt) 4 speed Transmission; Power Steering; Belted White Letter Tires, Heavy-Duty Battery; Stereo With Am/FM Radio with tape; SS 454 Equipment. The SS 454 Equipment included the 454 Engine, dual exhaust, special domed hood, black-accented grille, power disc brakes, sport wheels, wide-oval white lettered tires, wheel opening moldings, black resilient rear bumper panel, bright engine accents (e.g., chrome valve covers, etc.) and special chassis features. This car also includes Astro ventilation, hide-a-way wipers, glove compartment light, front seat back latches, front shoulder belts, lighter, and luggage compartment mat. As you can see this is a truly amazing high performance car in pristine condition. Bottom line, this the real black on black, matching numbers, 4 speed, LS6 Chevelle lists at $123,500 in Hemmings Collectible Vehicle Price Guide in #2 condtion and at $74,900 it's a steal!
